Kamala Harris giving tough competition to Donald Trump

US Vice President Kamala Harris is facing a tough competition from Republican Party’s presidential candidate Donald Trump. A recent survey by the New York Times and Siena College shows Harris chasing Trump. President Joe Biden recently decided to withdraw from the White House race under pressure from Democratic Party leaders and decided to support Harris as the presidential candidate. Harris’ candidacy has once again united the Democratic Party, which was previously very divided from within.

According to the New York Times survey, only 14 percent of the Democratic Party said that they want another option (other than Biden and Harris). While 70 percent of the party’s voters are supporting Harris. Voters said that they want the party to stand firmly behind Harris. Harris started her election campaign for the presidency a few hours after Biden withdrew from the race for a second term last week. However, the Democratic Party has not yet officially declared Harris as its presidential candidate.
