Kalinga University organised two-day International Conference on Innovative Management Techniques for Sustainable Development (IMTSD-2025)

Chhattisgarh: Faculty of Commerce and Management, Kalinga University successfully organized a two-day International Conference on “Innovative Management Techniques for Sustainable Development” (IMTSD-2025) on 21st and 22nd February, 2025 at the university campus in collaboration with Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, National Institute of Technology, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Jose Maria College Foundation, Inc., Philippines and Brokenshire College, Philippines. The conference served as a dynamic platform where global scholars, industry leaders and innovators discussed innovative management approaches to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The conference was organized in collaboration with Bhakta Mata Karma Government College, Career Point University, Jaipuria Institute of Management, IMEI, NIT, MIMT, Sant Sironami Guru Ravidas Government College Sargaon, Hari Bhoomi, INH News, Jose Maria College Foundation Inc., Brokenshire College, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Pt. Sunderlal Sharma Open University and Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur. The event was sponsored by ICA Edu Skills, Raipur, Centurion University of Technology and Management, Odisha, Changu Kana Thakur, Mumbai, MCX (after the event), CAR, Pet Pooja, Monk Trader, AS Industries, VY Hospital, Hapsam Enterprises, Samvyakti, A1 Rice Industries, Samalai and Aditi Publications. The event was inaugurated with an inspiring address by Dr. Byju John, Director General, Kalinga University, in which he highlighted the important role of education and research in achieving long-term sustainability goals.
Dr. Sandeep Gandhi, Registrar, Kalinga University delivered the welcome address and emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between academia and industry to promote sustainable innovation. He said, “Sustainable development can only be achieved when research findings are effectively translated into real-world applications. IMTSD-2025 has been a significant step in bridging this gap and promoting meaningful dialogue among stakeholders.” Dr. A.K. Shrivastava, Dean, SOS Management, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur graced the event as the Chief Guest. His address highlighted the concept of ‘5 P’s of Sustainable Management- People, Planet, Profit, Partnership and Purpose. “Sustainable Management is based on these five pillars to ensure that businesses not only make profits but also create positive social impact, protect environmental resources, foster partnerships and work with a clear purpose for long-term sustainability,” he said. The Chief Guest of the event was Shri Vinay S. Bais, State Head Newsletter, Chhattisgarh, said, “Businesses must align their operations with sustainability goals to create long-term value for both society and stakeholders. IMTSD-2025 has provided important information about innovative methods that will help achieve this balance.”
The event was also addressed by our partner institution from the Philippines, Dr. Josefina Ortega, Maria College Foundation, Inc., Philippines, and Dr. John Vian Murcia, Brokenshire College, Philippines. The closing session was delivered by Mr. Paul Rein Fred D. Quibo-Quibo, LPT, M.Ed., Coordinator of Public Relations and International Liaison at Brokenshire College, Philippines. He appreciated the collaborative efforts of the institutions involved and highlighted the importance of continued engagement in global discussions on ‘Sustainable Management.’ He said, “This conference has successfully brought together experts from various fields to share their insights and experiences, paving the way for innovative solutions that contribute to sustainable development.”
