Jasprit Bumrah’s return: A new hope for Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians (MI) have got a big relief in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. India’s leading fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is now fully fit and has joined the team for the tournament. Fans were waiting for his return to the field for a long time, and now his return is going to give a big boost to MI’s bowling.

Bumrah’s return hinted – Mumbai Indians have shared a video on social media with the title ‘Ready to Roar’, indicating Bumrah’s return. The team has confirmed that Bumrah has received fitness clearance from the Center of Excellence (CoE) of BCCI’s National Cricket Academy. However, he is unlikely to play in the upcoming match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Wankhede Stadium.

Story of injury and comeback – Bumrah suffered from back swelling during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy played in Australia, due to which he had to miss the last day of the New Year Test. Due to this injury, he could not play in India’s home limited overs series against England and the Champions Trophy held in February-March. Mumbai Indians’ performance in IPL 2025 has been very disappointing so far. The team has won only one of its four matches and is at the bottom of the points table. The bowling department has especially looked under pressure, due to which the opposing teams have consistently scored big scores.

Expectations from Bumrah’s return – The return of Jasprit Bumrah has given great relief and hope to the fans. Bumrah, famous for his yorkers and accuracy of death overs, can once again bring the team in a strong position. If he returns to his rhythm, the way back can be easy for MI. In this way, Bumrah’s return has brought a new hope not only for the team but also for the fans. All eyes will now be on his performance to see if he can take MI to new heights this season.
