Japan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Mr. Matsumoto met Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
bhopal: On the second day of his Japan visit, the Parliamentary Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. Hisashi Matsumoto met Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The meeting focused on strengthening India-Japan bilateral relations, promoting investment in Madhya Pradesh and providing information about the opportunities available for investors in Madhya Pradesh. Discussion held on strengthening Madhya Pradesh-Japan cooperation Describing the growing cooperation between India and Japan as important, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Japan’s investment in India, especially in Madhya Pradesh, is very important from a strategic point of view. In a discussion with Japan’s Foreign Ministry Deputy Minister Mr. Matsumoto, he stressed the need to work further in this direction. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that there are very good opportunities for Japanese investors in Madhya Pradesh, especially there is immense potential for investment in urban transport, water management and smart city projects. Madhya Pradesh has a strong logistics network, skilled human resources and state-of-the-art infrastructure, which can be beneficial for foreign investors. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stressed the need for technical cooperation with Japan in climate change, water management, and urban area development. He said that the state government has decided to give priority to Japanese expertise in these areas. We need Japan’s cooperation to deal with the effects of climate change in Madhya Pradesh.
Information given about investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed about the efforts being made by the state government to promote trade and industrialization in Madhya Pradesh. He said that the state government has made the policy-making and investment process simple and transparent to attract investment. He said that Madhya Pradesh can be a great opportunity for Japanese companies to invest and form a long-term partnership, which will further strengthen the relations between our state and Japan. The concept of ‘Free and Open Indo-Pacific’ was discussed in the relations between India and Japan Describing India as an important partner of Japan, Deputy Minister Mr. Matsumoto said that India is acting as an important partner to realize Japan’s foreign policy vision of ‘Free and Open Indo-Pacific’ stability and development. He said that Japan will intensify efforts to further increase investment and economic cooperation in Indian states, especially Madhya Pradesh. Japanese investors invited to Global Investors Summit-2025 Chief Minister Dr. Yadav invited Deputy Minister Mr. Matsumoto to the Global Investors Summit to be held in Bhopal on 24-25 February 2025. This summit will be a great opportunity to promote industrial and business investment in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the participation of Japanese investors in this summit will create new opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.
