Jal Jeevan Mission changed the picture of remote village Rajadevri

Raipur. The picture of the village is changing with the completion of Jal Jeevan Mission in remote forest villages. In the remote village Rajadevri of Kasdol in Balodabazar-Bhatapara district, people have now started getting clean drinking water at home.

The Public Health Engineering Department has made significant progress in ensuring the availability of clean drinking water in rural areas under the Jal Jeevan Mission. The objective of this mission is to provide clean and safe tap water to every household, which has brought unprecedented improvement in rural life. While discussing with the villagers, Rajkumar Koshle of Jal Jeevan Mission said that under the Jal Jeevan Mission, tap water schemes have been installed in the villages under the Single Village Scheme, due to which the people of the village have received clean water. The availability of clean water has reduced water-borne diseases, which has improved the health of the villagers. Due to saving time in fetching water, women have got the opportunity to participate in other works, which has also improved their economic condition.

Under the mission, awareness programmes for water conservation and efficient use are being continuously run to ensure long-term sustainability. The Public Health Engineering Department said that Jal Jeevan Mission has not only solved the problem of drinking water, but it has also become an important pillar of rural development and economic prosperity. Our aim is to ensure adequate and clean drinking water availability in all villages, so that the life of every citizen can be better.
