It is the responsibility of the state government to take care of helpless and destitute cows: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the city of saints, Jabalipuram, is blessed today. It has become a place of joy. The foundation stone has been laid for the construction of a state-of-the-art cowshed in the district. He said that the state government is committed to the protection and promotion of cows. According to the policy of the state government, mother cow will not be allowed to remain unclaimed and destitute anywhere. Like the big metros of the state, work will be done to increase the capacity of cowsheds to 10 thousand by building them in other big municipal corporations and municipalities. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that with the aim of economically empowering the farmers of the state, the government has decided to buy wheat at a support price of Rs 2600 per quintal. Along with this, an incentive amount of Rs 2 thousand per hectare will be given to the paddy producing farmers of the state from this month itself.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the gathering after performing the Bhoomi Pujan of the first phase of the Gaushala Project being built on 53 acres in Umaria village of Jabalpur on Wednesday. He also inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of development works worth more than Rs. 187.43 crore in the district. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp and garlanding the saints. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav worshipped and bowed to Mother Cow and fed her cow food with affection. Public Works Department Minister Mr. Rakesh Singh, Animal Husbandry Minister Mr. Lakhan Singh Patel, Scheduled Caste Welfare Department Minister Mr. Nagar Singh Chauhan were present on this occasion.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Gaushalas will be opened at the government level, in which the government will be responsible for the care of old, destitute and disabled cows. This will provide shelter to the abandoned and destitute cows roaming on the road. He said that 40 rupees per day is being given for each cow in the state’s Gaushalas. At the same time, to encourage cow rearing in every house, the person rearing more than 10 cows will be given a grant by the government. He said that whoever rears cows is Gopal and the person who has a family of cows in his house is called Gokul.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that according to Sanatan culture, our 33 crore gods and goddesses are also present in cow. Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi had talked about recognizing cow as the national animal. Cow is the only mother who feeds her milk to human children along with her own children.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is moving towards becoming the third largest economy of the world. Along with the independence of India, other countries also became independent. They maintained their connection with their culture. In this context, he also gave the example of Israel’s patriotism. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that work is being done in the state towards the welfare and development of the poor, youth, women and farmers. Realizing the dream of former Prime Minister Late. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the work of connecting rivers and providing water for irrigation to the farmers’ fields is being done rapidly. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the state has received the gift of two major river linking projects Ken-Betwa and Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal, due to which the state will prosper in the field of agriculture. He said that soon such a project is also being considered in Tapti river in coordination with the state of Maharashtra. He said that farmers will be enriched by increasing the irrigation area in the state to 1 crore hectares.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the target has been set to increase the state budget to 7 lakh crores. By the year 2028, recruitment will also be done on more than 2 lakh 70 thousand government posts. Along with this, employment will be created for the youth by promoting industries in the private sector. He said that on February 21, more than 90 thousand meritorious students of class XII of the state will be given an amount of Rs 25,000 each for laptops. Similarly, the state government is running various schemes to bring change in the lives of daughters. The government has also decided to ban liquor in the religious cities of the state. Now, instead of liquor shops, milk shops will be operated in these cities. Public Works Department Minister Shri Rakesh Singh also expressed his views in the program. Mayor Shri Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu expressed gratitude for the program. Jabalpur MIC presented a memento to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.

From the saint community, Swami Akhileshwaranand Ji, Narsingh Devacharya Ji, Raghav Devacharya Ji, Chetanyanand Ji, Girishanand Ji, Balgovindacharya Ji, Ramanujacharya Ji, Swami Paglanand Ji, Sadhvi Maitriya Didi were present in the program. Also present were MPs Smt. Sumitra Balmiki and Ashish Dubey, MLAs Shri Abhilash Pandey, Santosh Barkade, Neeraj Singh Thakur, Oil Ghani Board Chairman Ravikaran Sahu, Shri Ratnesh Sonkar, Shri Rajkumar Patel, Commissioner Shri Abhay Verma, IG Anil Kushwah, Collector Shri Deepak Saxena, Superintendent of Police Sampat Upadhyay along with other senior officials and a large number of people.
