It is necessary to take inspiration from the ancient methods along with the latest techniques of infrastructure construction with frugality: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that while discussing the new techniques and methods being used in the construction of roads and infrastructure, it is also necessary to look at the effective techniques used in the construction works done in ancient times and take inspiration from them. Bhopal’s Bada Talab, built by Raja Bhoj a thousand years ago, is a unique example of effective water management with frugality. The signs of the routes made on the coins of the period of Emperor Ashoka and Emperor Vikramaditya show the importance of roads in that period. These facts show that whenever there will be talk of new technology, the ancient method will become the basis of its foundation. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the inaugural session of the two-day seminar focused on “Latest emerging trends and techniques in road and bridge construction” under the joint aegis of Public Works Department Madhya Pradesh and Indian Road Council New Delhi at Ravindra Bhawan. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the seminar by lighting the lamp along with Union Road Transport Minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari and State Public Works Minister Mr. Rakesh Singh.
The seminar will make a significant contribution in infrastructure construction
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that as per the intention of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, it is necessary to give importance to practical conditions and skills and competencies available at the local level along with the latest technology and techniques. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav thanked Union Minister Mr. Gadkari for approving the Bhopal-Kanpur four lane to be built at a cost of Rs. 3,589 crore. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Union Minister Shri Gadkari is soon going to give a gift of Rs 25 thousand crore to the state for infrastructure development. This is a matter of happiness for all the people of the state.
The developed road network in the state will speed up the expansion of industrial activities
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that industrial conclaves are being organized at the regional level for equal expansion of industrial activities in all areas of the state, in which various industry groups are showing interest for investment. The development of quality road network in various regions of the state will facilitate transportation. Along with industrial activities and investment, the all-round development of the state will get momentum.
Ujjain has been the center point, coins are proof of this
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that we have an old technology of coins. Coins have their own science. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav told with the theory of coins that in ancient times Ujjain was the center of every route. He said that there is similarity in the rule of King Bhoj 1000 years ago, Emperor Vikramaditya 2000 years ago and Emperor Ashoka (then Governor of Ujjain) 2250 years ago. On one side of the coins, there was the symbol of the King of Ujjain and on the other side, there was an indicator (crossroads) of four routes. This is proof that Ujjain was the center point of all the routes.
Water, energy, transport and communication play an important role in the development of any country

We will achieve this goal with the cooperation of the engineers and common people of the country.
