It is necessary to provide better infrastructure to encourage sports talent: Deputy Chief Minister Shukla

Bhopal: Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla paid a courtesy call on Union Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Mansukh Mandaviya during his stay in New Delhi and greeted him by presenting a bouquet of flowers. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla discussed the efforts being made towards the overall development of the Vindhya region. He informed that recently a grand sports complex has been constructed in Rewa, where players from remote and backward areas are honing their talent. He said that it is necessary to provide better infrastructure to encourage the sports talents emerging from the tribal and backward areas of the Vindhya region.

Deputy Chief Minister Shukla requested Union Minister  Mandaviya to approve the proposal for construction of synthetic athletic track at Rewa at a cost of Rs 10 crore 33 lakh for the development of players of Vindhya region. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that this proposal is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Khelo India’ campaign and commitment to the overall development of youth through sports. He said that the construction of synthetic athletic track will provide modern training facilities to the young players of Vindhya region, which will enable them to excel in national and international competitions. Union Minister  Mandaviya expressed a positive attitude for this important initiative and assured the necessary cooperation. Rewa MP Janardan Mishra and Sidhi MP Dr. Rajesh Mishra were also present.
