Investment proposals worth Rs 15,606 crore received in Ludhiana interactive session: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

BHOPAL: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the country’s economic system has become strong. Industrialization has increased in the country, now we have become the fourth largest economy of the world. Ludhiana is the Manchester of India. The industrialists here have made their identity with great hard work. A-One and Hero cycles manufactured in Ludhiana are famous in the country and the world. The investors of Punjab are the main flag bearers contributing to the economic prosperity of the country. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in the interactive sessions, one-to-one discussions and dialogue sessions held in Ludhiana today, investment proposals worth Rs 15 thousand 606 crore have been received from the industrialists here, which will create more than 20 thousand jobs. We have invited the industrialists of Ludhiana and Punjab to set up industries in Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, they have also been made aware of the resources available in Madhya Pradesh as well as the industrial policies of the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the investors on Monday in Punjab’s industrial city Ludhiana regarding the investment possibilities inherent in Madhya Pradesh.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is the only state in the country where there are diamonds in Panna district and iron deposits in Shahdol. Gold mines have also been found in Singrauli district recently. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav cordially invited all investors to invest in the gem-rich land of Madhya Pradesh and said that there are immense possibilities of business here. Come and make Madhya Pradesh your second home. He said that investors can set up as many industries as they want in Madhya Pradesh, the government will welcome you with open arms and will help you in every possible way. He said that land, electricity, water, skilled workforce are all available as per the need to set up industries in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh and Punjab are like brothers. Punjab is the elder brother and Madhya Pradesh is the younger brother in the production of grains. Now both the brothers will work together to develop the country and Madhya Pradesh.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is on the path of progress. Punjab is the land of heroes, it has a different identity. This is a wonderful land of Guru tradition. Indore of Madhya Pradesh is known for cleanliness, while Ludhiana is known for industries. We have come to invite industrialists to set up industries in Madhya Pradesh. You should invest with an open heart and without any hesitation, the government will help you as much as it can.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that India is becoming a leader in the changing times. Industries feed many families and bring income in the lives of the poor. This is a sacred work. He said that Punjab is the land of Amar Shaheed Bhagat Singh, who played an important role in the country’s independence by making the supreme sacrifice. The Chief Minister said that you people should continue to work here and expand your business and set up one or two factories in Madhya Pradesh as well. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Madhya Pradesh government presented its industry-friendly policies to the world at the Global Investors Summit (GIS). We have given many gifts to industrialists. The Madhya Pradesh government will give an additional help of Rs 5,000 in the salary of industrial workers of the textiles sector. He said that bicycles are being distributed to school children in Madhya Pradesh. Bicycles are mainly made in Punjab. The same bicycles can be made in Madhya Pradesh as well. Industrialists should set up bicycle manufacturing factories in Madhya Pradesh. He said that India was known as the golden bird in the world. When the country got independence in 1947, India used to be the 15th largest economy in the world. Countries like Israel and Japan have reached great heights. In 2014, India was at the 11th position and today in the changing times, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, India has become the fourth largest economy in the world and is now moving towards becoming the third largest economy.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Madhya Pradesh government has interacted with investors by conducting road shows in Coimbatore, Surat and now Ludhiana. Regional Industry Conclaves were also organized at the divisional level in the state. Madhya Pradesh received investment proposals worth Rs 30.77 lakh crore through GIS held in Bhopal in February this year. Summits are being organized on different topics for the development of various sectors of the industry in the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is a region rich in various mineral resources. Investing here is undoubtedly a profitable deal.
Large scale settlements cleared in the interest of workers
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that recently the state government has cleared settlements worth hundreds of crores of rupees in the interest of workers. This decision reflects the sensitivity and commitment of the state government towards workers. The Chief Minister also said that if there is a need to amend any policy to facilitate investors, then the government is ready to make changes at the cabinet level also.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that investment proposals worth Rs 15,606 crore have been received from various industrialists for investment in the state, which is likely to generate more than 20,275 jobs.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav held one-to-one discussions with prominent industrialists in Ludhiana
During his stay in Ludhiana, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav held one-to-one meetings with the leading industrialists of Punjab and apprised them of Madhya Pradesh’s investment-supporting policies. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav assured the industrialists that the Madhya Pradesh government will work with full readiness to make policy changes wherever possibilities are visible. He said that the interests of both workers and industries are being taken care of equally in the state.
The industrialists who held discussions with Chief Minister Dr. Yadav included CMD of Nahar Group Mr. Dinesh Oswal, CFO of SEL Group Mr. Navneet Gupta and representative of Bon Group of Industries Mr. Manjit Singh from the textile sector. MD of TK Steel Group Mr. Lokesh Jain from the steel sector discussed potential investment opportunities in the state. MD of IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Mr. Varinder Gupta and Director of MRM Medhya Greentech Mr. Puneet Agarwal from the pharmaceuticals, ethanol and chemicals sector presented investment proposals.
Mr. Sushil Mittal, MD of Bhagwati Lacto Vegetarian Exports and Mr. Harish Dua, member of KG Exports team, associated with food processing and tea industry, discussed logistics network, agricultural product availability and food parks of Madhya Pradesh. Mr. S.K. Rai, MD of Hero Cycles and Mr. Amit Kumar Modi, MD of Highland Ethanol, from engineering sector, sought information about industrial areas for investment.
