Senior PML-N leader Shehbaz Sharif is going to become the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the second time. Shahbaz Sharif filed nomination for the post of PM on Saturday. Election for the post of PM is to be held on Sunday. The figures are strong in favor of PML-N and it is believed that Shehbaz Sharif is certain to become the next PM. PTI leader Omar Ayub Khan has also filed his nomination for the post of PM. However, the election to be held on Sunday may be one-sided in favor of Shehbaz Sharif.

Swearing in ceremony will be held on Monday
PML-N has announced to form government in alliance with PPP and MQM. Shehbaz Sharif is the younger brother of former Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif. Shehbaz Sharif has also been the Prime Minister of Pakistan from April 2022 to August 2023. Even at that time he ran the government in alliance with PPP. Shehbaz Sharif needs 169 votes in the 336-member Senate to be elected PM. The number of PTI supporting senators is 102. The swearing-in ceremony of the successful candidate will take place at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday.
