International News: General Elections: Pakistan's problems increased due to the results
It has been three days since voting took place in the general elections in Pakistan, but the final election results have not been announced yet. In the results so far, no party has got a clear majority. In such a situation, the challenges of Pakistan, which is facing economic crisis, may increase in the coming days. The political crisis in Pakistan may deepen and now there will be politics of manipulation to form the government. Pakistan’s problems are sure to increase due to all this.
In the results so far, 93 candidates supported by Imran Khan’s party PTI have won. Whereas Nawaz Sharif’s PML-N has won 73 seats, Bilawal Bhutto’s party PPP has won 54 seats. Election results are still awaited on eight seats.
Imran Khan’s party has the highest number of supported candidates, but they are still 31 seats short of the majority mark. A meeting is being held between the parties of Nawaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto, but even if both meet, they will not be able to reach the majority figure. In such a situation, Nawaz Sharif’s party is in touch with many independent MPs.
Explaining the reason for the delay in the election results, the Election Commission of Pakistan has said that due to the security ban imposed on the internet, there is a delay in transmitting the results.
