International News: Election of CM of Pakistan’s Punjab will be held tomorrow

Maryam Nawaz, daughter of three-time former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, will become the first woman Chief Minister of Punjab province. She is going to be elected as CM tomorrow. Sharif-led Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has secured both the posts of Speaker and Deputy Speaker in the Punjab Assembly.

Punjab Assembly Secretary Aamer Habib said, ‘The election of the Chief Minister of Punjab will be held on Monday. Candidates can file their nomination papers on Sunday.

Determined to become the first woman Chief Minister
Since, PML-N Vice President Maryam is considered certain to become the first woman Chief Minister in the history of Pakistan as her party now has two-thirds majority in the Punjab Assembly. Therefore, there will be no problem in naming the post in your name. Let us tell you, the election for the post of Chief Minister will be between PML-N’s Maryam Nawaz and PTI-backed Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) candidate Rana Aftab Ahmed.
