Delhi. The Indian Navy has foiled two major hijacking attempts by pirates in the Arabian Sea within just 24 hours on January 28 and 29. According to defense officials, Indian naval warship INS Sumitra on Sunday rescued the ship Al Naimi from the clutches of Somalian pirates in another operation after rescuing the Iranian ship FV Iman. It is reported that Indian Marine Commandos also took part in this operation.
According to the information, this incident happened in the Arabian Sea, 800 miles away from the coast of Kochi, Kerala. The pirates took the Iranian-flagged ship and its crew members hostage here.
