Innovative initiative of Raipur Municipal Corporation to encourage youth for sports

Raipur. Raipur Municipal Corporation is preparing to provide safe place for practice of cricket, badminton and basketball under Pandri and Telibandha flyovers in the capital city to encourage youth for sports, in accordance with the social welfare intention of the Urban Administration and Development Department of the State Government, at a fast pace with the cooperation of Raipur District Administration.

Commissioner Abinash Mishra today directly observed the progress of the work of box badminton court being prepared for the welfare of youth safely at the places under Pandri and Telibandha flyovers in the presence of Superintending Engineer Mr. Rajesh Sharma, Zone Commissioner Rakesh Sharma, Ramesh Jaiswal, Santosh Pandey, Executive Engineer Sanjay Verma, Rajesh Rathore, Padmakar Shrivas, Rakesh Avadhiya and other concerned. Box Badminton Court will be a wonderful gift soon with the cooperation of Raipur District Administration as per the intention of the State Government for the welfare of the youth. The Commissioner directed the officers to complete the remaining finishing works quickly and ensure the gift in the interest of the youth on priority. The Commissioner directed to ensure the safe parking of vehicles of the youth visiting the sites along the service road near the ongoing Box Badminton Court at the sites below Telibandha and Pandri flyovers by cleaning and giving them an organized shape.
It is worth mentioning here that the work of building Box Badminton Courts safely in the interest of the youth at the sites below Pandri and Telibandha flyovers is rapidly progressing towards completion. Similarly, on the lines of metropolitan cities, initially 15-17 different sites have been identified for Box Badminton Courts in the capital city Raipur Municipal Corporation area. After the success of the Box Badminton Courts constructed under the Telibandha and Pandri flyovers, it is proposed to construct Box Badminton Courts there. This will provide the youth with an easy opportunity to practice sports at a safe place and hone their sports talent in the capital city. Raipur District Collector Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh and Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Abinash Mishra have directed the concerned officials to complete the work of Box Badminton Courts under the Pandri and Telibandha flyovers on priority and at the earliest, in accordance with the social welfare intention of the Urban Administration and Development Department of the Chhattisgarh Government.
