Innovation in mining sector helpful in economic strengthening of states: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav
Bhopal . Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that all the states including Madhya Pradesh will benefit from the reforms and innovations made in the mining sector by the Union Mining Ministry under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. There are many possibilities hidden in our rich underground resources, implementation of these reforms and adoption of innovations will strengthen the state economically. The transparent and accountable system brought in the mining process will increase credibility in the society regarding the mining sector. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was addressing the second conference of Mineral Ministers of the states as the chief guest. The conference organized at Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium was presided over by Union Minister of Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Prahlad Joshi. Madhya Pradesh got the first position in the country for the best performance in the auction of mineral blocks, the certificate of which was issued by the Government of India and was presented to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. It is noteworthy that Madhya Pradesh has been first in the country by auctioning 29 mining blocks. Critical Mineral Report of Madhya Pradesh was also presented to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.
Exhibition on Mining and Beyond
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and Union Minister Joshi also visited the exhibition organized by the Union Ministry of Mines. The exhibition showcases the achievements of the country’s leading mining companies, private agencies and start-ups, including the Geological Survey of India, District Mineral Establishments. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and Union Minister Joshi inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp amid chanting of mantras. Coffee table book Building Trust-Transforming Lives was also released on this occasion. Along with this, the digital launch of Average Sale Price System Platform and Star Rating of Mines was done. Exploration license rules were also released. A short film on process improvements and innovations in the mining sector was also screened.
Madhya Pradesh is rich in natural resources as well as in religion, culture and values.
Referring to the Madhya Pradesh anthem, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that our state, along with being rich in forest wealth, mineral wealth and natural resources, is also advanced and prosperous in terms of rituals, culture and religion. The state government is grateful to Union Minister Joshi for giving Madhya Pradesh the opportunity of the conference of mineral ministers of the states. Facing the challenges and difficulties of the mining sector under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and the guidance of Union Minister Joshi, the reforms and innovations being made in the mining sector will help in the economic strengthening of the states, the model adopted by Orissa for revenue growth is similar to that of other states. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the initiative taken under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi to discover and utilize the mineral wealth of the land as well as the marine area of the country is commendable. The innovations implemented in the entire governance system including the processes related to mining and the transparent and clean system, make Prime Minister Shri Modi feel like Emperor Vikramaditya. The increasing availability of accurate information about the mineral wealth existing in different geographical parts of the country is opening the doors for the progress of the country. Activities like auction of mining blocks have made it possible to utilize the mineral wealth more and more for the progress of the country. The work being done to change people’s lives through Mining Fund is commendable.
Special initiatives will be taken for quick resolution of problems related to environment and forest department.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this conference of Mineral Ministers of different states will definitely prove to be a milestone for the progress in the mining sector, it will also pave the way for resolving the inter-departmental difficulties being faced in the mining sector. Besides, special initiatives will be taken to solve the problems related to environment and forest department in the mining sector.
States can bring significant improvement in their economy through sustainable mining – Union Minister
Union Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi appreciated the work done by Madhya Pradesh under DMFT (District Mineral Foundation Trust) for the development and livelihood of the people affected by mining activities. Congratulating Chief Minister Dr. Yadav on coming first in the auction of mineral blocks of Madhya Pradesh, Union Minister Shri Joshi said that mineral resources have an important role in strengthening the country’s economy, the auction of mineral blocks and innovations have increased the revenue, Other states should also take initiative towards auctioning mineral blocks. States can bring significant improvement in their economy through sustainable mining. The Central Government is ready to provide all possible cooperation to all the states in the mining sector.

Union Minister Shri Joshi said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the country is now moving towards mining of critical minerals and rarest minerals. Data repository availability has increased, license and lease clearances are also being simplified and expedited. He organized the conference of Mineral Ministers of Madhya Pradesh.
