Indore Rang Panchami Ger 2025: Book Your Rooftop Seat Online for a Spectacular View

Indore’s Traditional Rang Panchami Ger: Rooftop Viewing Arrangements & Online Booking
Indore’s grand and colorful Rang Panchami Ger is set to attract not only locals but also visitors from other cities and even abroad. Like last year, the administration is making special arrangements for spectators by providing rooftop seating along the Ger route. To enhance the viewing experience, around eight selected houses along the route will have seating arrangements for nearly 100 people. Online booking for these spots will be available on BookMyShow starting Monday. Every year, lakhs of people participate in this historic Ger, where clouds of vibrant colors fill the air at Rajwada, the heart of the city.
Efforts to Get UNESCO Recognition
The Department of Culture has proposed that Indore’s Rang Panchami Ger be included in UNESCO’s list of cultural heritage events. To accommodate out-of-town visitors and families, rooftops are being prepared as viewing points. Currently, eight houses have been identified, and officials are working to expand the number.
Smart City CEO Divyank Singh stated that a meeting with local residents will be held on Sunday to discuss safety measures, seating arrangements, and the structural strength of the houses. The number of additional people allowed on each rooftop will be decided based on these discussions.
Volunteers to Assist Visitors
To ensure a smooth experience, 20 to 25 volunteers will be stationed to guide ticket holders to their designated rooftops and assist them while exiting. These rooftops will be equipped with chairs, drinking water, and washroom facilities for visitor comfort.
Minimum Fee for Rooftop Viewing
The administration is working on seating arrangements for 200 to 250 people, but the ticket price for this unique experience is yet to be finalized. Officials assure that it will be a minimal fee, covering both the administrative costs and a rental amount for homeowners providing their rooftops.
Initiative Started Last Year
The rooftop viewing concept was first introduced last year, allowing both foreign tourists and visitors from other cities to enjoy the Ger from a comfortable vantage point. Last time, this facility was free of cost, but this year, the process is being digitized with online bookings and an increased number of available rooftops.
Emergency & Safety Measures in Place
Collector Ashish Singh has assured that proper ambulance services will be available along the Ger route. Four to five ambulances will be stationed, with a dedicated corridor for their movement. Additionally, overhead electrical wires will be adjusted, transformers will be covered, and CCTV cameras will be installed for security. Firefighters and emergency vehicles will also be on standby. This year’s Rang Panchami Ger promises to be a grand and well-organized event, offering visitors a safe, comfortable, and unforgettable experience of Indore’s iconic festival.
