India’s third medal, athlete Preeti Pal won bronze
India has won its third medal at the Paris Paralympics and this medal has been won by Indian athlete Preeti Pal. Preeti won the bronze medal in the women’s 100m T35 event with a time of 14.21 seconds. With this achievement, Preeti has created history, as this is India’s first medal in a track event in para sports.
This performance of Preeti is also the personal best of her career. She completed the race in 14.21 seconds, in which China’s Jia Zhou and Qianqian Guo won gold and silver medals respectively. 23-year-old Preeti is participating in the Paralympics for the first time, and she also won a bronze medal in the women’s 200m T35 at the World Para Athletics Championships in May this year. Preeti will also participate in the 200m event at the Paris Paralympics.
