India has defeated Bangladesh in the first match of the India Bangladesh T20 series. In the match held at Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, Team India won the match by 7 wickets and took a 1-0 lead in the series. After losing to Bangladesh in the Test series, now the Indian team looked heavy on the Bangladeshi team in the T20 format as well. In the first match of the three-match T20 series, Indian young players under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav defeated Bangladesh in the match, this match also becomes special because after 14 years an international cricket match was organized in Gwalior.
In this first match of the T20 series, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss against Bangladesh and decided to bowl first. Mayank Yadav and Nitish Kumar Reddy made their international debut in Team India and both the players also gave a brilliant performance in their debut match. The Bangladeshi players scored 127 runs in 19.4 overs and were all out. Varun Chakravarthy and Harshdeep Singh performed brilliantly for India and took three wickets each. Along with this, Hardik Pandya, Mayank Yadav and Washington Sundar also took one wicket each.
