Indian team can be declared on this day for Australia tour
Indian experienced batsman Cheteshwar Pujara, who has been consistently performing well in domestic tournaments, made the Kangaroo bowlers sweat in the last two tours of Australia. Pujara has been out of the Indian team for some time, but the selectors of the Indian senior team can select this experienced player in the team for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. It is being told that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) can declare the team on 28 October for this five-match Test series.
The Test series is to be played between India and Australia from 22 November. The Indian team will enter the Test series against Australia with the intention of scoring a hat-trick of victories. If the selection committee led by Ajit Agarkar goes by his experience, then Pujara’s selection is possible. This 36-year-old batsman recently played an innings of 234 runs in 383 balls against Chhattisgarh in the Ranji Trophy and said that he still has the hunger to score runs.
Pujara’s record is better against Australia Pujara has a good record against Australia and he was the highest run scorer in the 2018-19 series. Pujara faced 1258 balls in that tour and scored a total of 521 runs. Three years later, Pujara once again proved to be important for India and he faced 928 balls and scored 271 runs in the series against Australia. Pujara has stood like a wall in front of Australia’s legendary bowlers like Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc. Pujara last played for India in the World Test Championship (WTC) final last year. Since then he has not been a part of the Indian team.
