India vs South Africa match: South Africa badly defeated in the first T20
The first match of the four-match T20 series between India and South Africa was played in Durban on Friday night. Team India defeated the host team by 61 runs, maintaining its status as the world champion.
After losing the toss, the Indian team came out to bat first under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav. India scored 202 runs losing 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. In response, the South African team was all out for 141 runs in 17.5 overs.

Wicketkeeper batsman Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma started the innings for Team India. Sanju Samson displayed explosive batting.
He scored a century in 47 balls. Overall, he was dismissed after scoring 107 runs in 50 balls. Sanju Samson hit 7 fours and 10 sixes in the innings.
Apart from Sanju Samson, Tilak Verma contributed 33 runs (18 balls, 3 fours, 2 sixes) and captain Suryakumar Yadav contributed 21 runs (17 balls, 2 fours, 1 six).
In reply, the South African team never looked in the match. Its first wicket in the form of captain Aiden Markram fell at a total score of just 8 runs.
After this, wickets kept falling at regular intervals. Klaasen scored the highest 25 runs. Varun Chakraborty and Ravi Bishnoi took 3-3 wickets.
