Raipur. There is immense enthusiasm among the women of Chhattisgarh regarding the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Especially the poor, middle and lower middle class women have got a lot of relief from the amount received from this scheme. Women say that this scheme has increased self-confidence and self-respect among women.
It is the result of the good governance of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai in the state that they are getting the amount of Mahtari Vandan Yojana on time month after month. This month, one thousand rupees each has been received as the 5th installment in the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. They are becoming financially empowered by using the amount. This amount is reaching the bank accounts of women through DBT. Due to the money coming into the accounts of women, their respect in the family has also increased.
Mrs. Hema Sahu, a member of Saheli Sangh Self-Help Group, which runs a canteen in the Collectorate premises of Dhamtari, said that the women of self-help groups are getting a lot of benefit from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. The women of the group are now able to regularly contribute to economic activities.
Hema also said that with the money received from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, women are able to make better arrangements for their children as per their needs. Women have been able to fulfill their personal needs, household needs, purchase of daily use items and other needs. They are also saving for the future. This has instilled self-reliance and self-confidence in women.
