Increase in the insurance amount given to environment friends in the state
The state government has increased the amount of Rs 2 lakh given as life insurance to environment friends working in the bodies under the Urban Development Department of the state to Rs 5 lakh. This information has been given by Urban Development Minister Dr. Premchand Agarwal.
Urban Development Minister Dr. Premchand Agarwal said that under the Chief Minister’s announcement, about 6500 environment friends (regular, contract, Mohalla Swachhata Samiti) are working in the urban bodies of the state. He told that till now they were being given an amount of Rs 2 lakh as life insurance by the state government.
Benefit of life insurance will be allowed
Aggarwal said that this insurance amount has been increased from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. He told that the specialty of life insurance is that in case of death due to any reason, the benefit of life insurance will be allowed.
Dr. Agarwal said that the premium of life insurance will be borne entirely by the state government. The cost of which is about Rs 1.6 crore per year based on the number of environment friends working at present.
