Inauguration of Smart Classroom in Begakapa Village: A New Beginning for Digital Education Revolution in Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh: The inauguration of a Smart Classroom in Begakapa Village marks the commencement of a new educational revolution, poised to be a significant milestone in the rural education sector. The Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Arun Saw, inaugurated the Smart Classroom at the Government Higher Secondary School in Begakapa. This project is a collaboration between HDFC Bank’s CSR initiative ‘Parivartan’ and the Aroh Foundation. Through ‘Parivartan,’ HDFC Bank has made a substantial contribution towards enhancing digital
education access in rural areas of Chhattisgarh, providing quality educational opportunities to rural children. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw stated, “Education is the most powerful tool for transformation. By bringing smart classrooms to villages like Begakapa, we are investing in the future and ensuring that every child receives quality education.” He further emphasized that digital education will provide children with new perspectives and thinking, essential for their bright future. Representatives from HDFC Bank shared, “In collaboration with the Aroh Foundation, we are not only utilizing state-of-the-art technology to improve the education level in rural areas but also inspiring children to dream big. Smart classrooms will enhance students’ learning capabilities through new technologies and digital resources.”
Aroh Foundation’s Project Officer, Hemant Singh Tanwar, highlighted the importance of the Smart Classroom and the participation of rural children in digital education. He mentioned that similar initiatives in other blocks have been successful, leading to improved student participation and teacher motivation. The Smart Classroom in Begakapa is equipped with interactive boards, projectors, and e-learning tools, providing an engaging educational experience for students. Additionally, local teachers have received specialized training to effectively utilize these tools. The enthusiasm among students towards the new technology indicates a positive shift towards
educational transformation in rural Chhattisgarh. The partnership between HDFC Bank and the Aroh Foundation is not only opening a new chapter for children but also helping to elevate their dreams through digital education.
