Raipur, 3 August 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai participated in the huge Kanwar Yatra organized in Gudhiyari area of ​​the capital Raipur on the auspicious occasion of Sawan month. He performed Rudrabhishek of Lord Bholenath and wished for the happiness, prosperity and public welfare of Chhattisgarh state. Chief Minister Sai said that today thousands of Kanwariyas have left for Jalabhishek from Maruti Mangalam Bhawan, Gudhiyari to Hatkeshwarnath Mahadev Temple. He said that this event serves to keep the glorious cultural tradition of Chhattisgarh alive and reveals the depth of our folk faith. Kanwar Yatra in the month of Sawan is a symbol of faith, devotion and dedication of Shiva devotees, in which devotees offer water to Bholenath by walking several kilometers.

The Chief Minister said that the religious and cultural significance of Lord Hatkeshwarnath Mahadev located at Mahadev Ghat in Raipur is very deep. A large number of devotees gather here for Jalabhishek. He said that the land of Chhattisgarh is a unique confluence of devotion, faith and culture. Events like Kanwar Yatra not only preserve the tradition but also give the message of spiritual consciousness and social harmony. On this occasion, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, former Governor Ramesh Bais, Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam, Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, Lok Sabha MP Brijmohan Agarwal, Raipur West MLA Rajesh Munat, Raipur South MLA Sunil Soni, Raipur Rural MLA Motilal Sahu, Raipur North MLA Purandar Mishra, former MP Abhishek Singh and Raipur Mayor Meenal Choubey along with a large number of devotees, dignitaries and representatives of social organizations were present.
