Illegal IPL Streaming Case: Actor Tamannaah Bhatia Summoned Report.

Tamannaah Bhatia, a well-known Indian actress, has been called in for questioning by the Maharashtra Cyber branch in connection with an investigation into the illegal streaming of Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket matches. This case involves unauthorized broadcasting of IPL 2023 games on a platform called Fairplay App, resulting in significant financial losses to Viacom, the official broadcaster of IPL. The estimated loss amounts to crores of rupees.

The Maharashtra Cyber branch, responsible for handling cybercrimes, has summoned Tamannaah Bhatia to appear for questioning on April 29 to understand her possible involvement or connection with this case. This questioning aims to gather more information on how the illegal streaming took place and who might be involved.

In addition to Tamannaah Bhatia, Sanjay Dutt, another popular Bollywood actor, was also summoned for questioning regarding the same case. However, he couldn’t attend on the specified date due to his prior commitments and requested a new date for his appearance, citing that he was out of the country.

The investigation into this illegal streaming case is part of a broader effort to tackle unauthorized distribution of content and protect the rights of legitimate broadcasters. By summoning well-known personalities like Tamannaah Bhatia and Sanjay Dutt, the authorities are seeking to identify all parties involved in this illegal activity and ensure accountability. This development has drawn considerable attention due to the celebrity status of those summoned and the impact that illegal streaming has on the entertainment industry and related stakeholders.
