Raipur, 27 February 2025: “I would like to tell all of you that Mahakumbh 2025 is being organized in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. I want the devotees of Chhattisgarh to go there. You do not have to worry about staying and food there. For you, our government has built Chhattisgarh Pavilion in four and a half acres in Sector 6 of Prayagraj. Free arrangements have been made for your stay and food there.” This statement was made by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai in his public addresses at many places before the start of Mahakumbh 2025. Chief Minister Sai understands the needs and desires of the people of the state, that is why Chief Minister Sai spoke to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and got the Chhattisgarh Pavilion constructed on four and a half acres of land in the Kumbh Mela area in Prayagraj and the Chhattisgarh Government, at its own expense, made free arrangements for accommodation and food for the devotees of the state for 45 days.

In these 45 days, about 50 thousand devotees of Chhattisgarh took a holy dip in the confluence of Maha Kumbh 2025 without any worries. The world’s largest festival of faith and tradition, which lasted for 45 days, has now ended, but even while leaving, it has given unforgettable memories to the people of Chhattisgarh, which also includes the Chhattisgarh government and Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai. It is not that the Chhattisgarh Pavilion located in Sector 6 of the fair area of Prayagraj was only for the people of Chhattisgarh, but it was also a center of attraction for tourists from the country and abroad. There was a crowd of tourists and devotees from the country and abroad to see the exhibition in the Chhattisgarh Pavilion. On one hand, while the pavilions of other states used to close after 8 pm, the cultural program of the Chhattisgarh Pavilion kept entertaining people till 10 pm. The local artists of Chhattisgarh had created such an atmosphere on the land of Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj that people from every state of the country, away from the veil of language and culture, were seen eager to see and hear it.

The entrance of the Chhattisgarh Pavilion was adorned with the Gaur Mukut, the identity of Bastar. It attracted people from a distance. As soon as one entered, the statue of Chhattisgarh Mahtari reflected the affectionate identity of Chhattisgarh. Along with this, people bowed their heads in reverence in front of the pictures of the four deities of the state (Maa Mahamaya, Maa Danteshwari, Maa Bamleshwari and Maa Chandrahasini). People were seen eager to know about the schemes of the state government in the exhibition. People were stunned to know about Sirpur, Jaitkham higher than Qutub Minar, Chitrakote Waterfall, called the Niagara of India, the modern city of Naya Raipur in the exhibition.

Technology was also used in the exhibition to promote tourism. People from all over the country waited in line for their turn to enter the immersive dome showing 360-degree video and the same was the situation to know about Chhattisgarh through virtual reality. Not only this, the rural culture, art, jewellery, lifestyle, food, dance, animals and birds of Chhattisgarh were also shown in the exhibition, which remained a subject of attraction for the regional and national media for a long time. Now the Maha Kumbh has ended. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has addressed it as the Maha Kumbh of Unity. The Chhattisgarh Pavilion is a great example of this in itself where free food was available for every person without any discrimination. People from every class, every caste and every religion and every sect without any discrimination, even foreigners used to come and were filled with surprise and excitement after knowing Chhattisgarh closely.

Chief Minister Shri Sai congratulated the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Adityanath for the successful organization of Maha Kumbh. On the conclusion of Maha Kumbh, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai thanked the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the successful organization of Maha Kumbh and providing four and a half acres of land to Chhattisgarh. Due to the visionary initiative and dedicated efforts of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, about 50 thousand devotees of Chhattisgarh became a part of Prayagraj Maha Kumbh 2025. The participation of these devotees directly and indirectly connected the three crore people of the state to this great spiritual event. Through this, the state registered its strong presence in the all-India spiritual consciousness. This initiative of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai established Chhattisgarh as a spiritual power on the global stage of Maha Kumbh, which gave the three crore people of the state a feeling of cultural and religious pride.
