Bhopal. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that road projects in Madhya Pradesh will help in making the state an industrial and agricultural hub. New works are being started to improve the road network in Madhya Pradesh. Many works will be completed by the end of this year. Construction of roads in Madhya Pradesh will bring investment and exports will also increase. Employment opportunities will be available and will help in eradicating poverty. Union Minister Gadkari was addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of road projects at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal. Union Minister Shri Gadkari and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav laid the foundation stone of 15 National Highway road projects of 499 km length with a single click. Their cost is Rs 8038 crore.

Distances between places will be reduced, roads realize the possibilities of development

Union Minister Shri Gadkari said that construction of roads realizes many possibilities of development. Malwa flour is liked in many countries. New road structures will be useful in its export. Shri Gadkari said that the project of operating ropeway from railway station to Baba Mahakal temple in Ujjain is important. Preparations are underway to conduct tender for this project worth Rs 171 crore in the coming month. The distance from Ujjain to Kota can be covered in just two and a half hours.

Important works also include four laning of 136 km distance from Ujjain to Garoth. The distance from Indore to Omkareshwar will be covered in one hour. Many works will be completed by the year 2025. Which also includes Indore-Hyderabad corridor. Many green express highways are also being built. 27 road construction proposals of Madhya Pradesh are being approved soon. Bhopal is a city of lakes. Madhya Pradesh government’s proposals for ropeway and cable car on the lake will be approved soon.

Shri Gadkari said that with the completion of Mumbai-Delhi corridor, commuting from Madhya Pradesh to both the metros will be done in 5-6 hours. This work is expected to be completed this year. Under the Green Field Highway, the journey between Gwalior, Agra and Gwalior-Delhi can be completed in less time. Along with this, the journey from Bhopal to Kanpur will also be completed in seven-eight hours due to the construction of the new corridor, which currently takes fifteen hours. The distance from Sagar to Kanpur will be reduced by 21 kilometers. Bhopal-Sagar four lane road, whose length is 170 kilometers, will be built in one year. Its cost is Rs 4 thousand crores. Shri Gadkari gave detailed information regarding the development of highways in Madhya Pradesh.

Construction and expansion of roads is an important achievement for Madhya Pradesh: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the start of road construction works worth Rs. 10,000 crore is an important achievement. Today, 9 road projects have been inaugurated and foundation stone laid in Jabalpur and 15 in Bhopal. The cost of these 24 road projects is more than Rs 10 thousand crores. Along with new works of road construction, Madhya Pradesh is also moving forward in the use of air means of transport and means like cable car, rope-way. All areas of the state will benefit from the construction of highways. Industrial activities will also intensify. In the last 70 years, 5 thousand kilometers of roads were prepared. But in the last ten years, only 5 thousand kilometers of new roads have been built. Madhya Pradesh has been important for people moving from north to south and east to west. Changing circumstances in the flow of time made some difference. Now, not only 17 districts of the state but the entire state will benefit from the construction of new highways. The operation of cable car and ropeway from the Big Lake of Bhopal is being considered. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, Union Minister Shri Gadkari has emphasized on the use of alternative means of fuel. Now electric vehicles are also running in large numbers. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also appreciated the innovations made by Shri Gadkari. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also highlighted the importance of the National Highway works whose foundation stone was laid today.

While addressing the program virtually, Union Civil Aviation Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia said that today is a historic day for Madhya Pradesh. The works whose foundation stone has been laid today are useful for the entire state. Along with expanding the length of roads, Union Minister Shri Gadkari has also ensured the quality of works. Along with the expansion of roads in Madhya Pradesh, progress is also being made in irrigation and energy sectors. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, important work has been done in all areas in the last one and a half month. Shri Scindia expressed hope that Madhya Pradesh will develop at a fast pace.

Assembly Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar addressed the program virtually. He said that work is being done to connect all four corners of the country through roads. India will appear as a developed India in the year 2047.

Public Works Minister Shri Rakesh Singh said in his welcome address that transportation is becoming easier in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is setting new records of development. The Public Works Department will not compromise on quality while working for the purpose of public welfare.

Senior MP Vishnudutt Sharma said that Union Minister Gadkari is playing an important role under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. He has also paid constant attention to the suggestions of public representatives.
