Health facilities in BMC will be expanded further as per the expectations of the people: Minister Rajput
Bhopal. State Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput inspected Bundelkhand Medical College Sagar on Monday. He also reviewed the situation by holding a meeting with the HODs of various departments.
Minister Shri Rajput said that health facilities in BMC will be expanded further as per the expectations of the people. More necessary departments will be opened in the medical college. Expressing happiness over the successful cornea transplant, he said that such facilities have started being available in Sagar which is a matter of happiness for the entire region. He said that the facilities which were lacking earlier in Bundelkhand Medical College have now been gradually fulfilled. New departments have also opened here and the departments which are needed will also be fulfilled. Especially the cancer machine is to come here. Our effort will be to open a cancer hospital here in future. He said that he has discussed this subject with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and has also talked to the Health Minister. He is determined to fulfill all the things which are needed in Sagar Medical College soon. He said that people have a lot of expectations from the medical college. It will be our endeavour to provide maximum facilities to the patients coming here.
MLA Shailendra Jain said during the inspection that all preparations have been ensured to open Cath Lab Neuro department in Bundelkhand Medical College. Soon this department will start functioning.
On this occasion, Dean Dr. PS Thakur said that there is a shortage of doctors in the Obstetrics department, it should be fulfilled immediately. Currently more than 1100 deliveries are taking place here every month. Department head of the female maternity ward, Dr. Sheela Jain said that if the number of doctors is fulfilled, then we are capable of conducting up to 2000 deliveries. Giving information about the surgery department, Dr. Sunil Saxena said that along with the surgery department, breast cancer of women is also examined and operations are being done. Department head of the ENT department, Dr. Reema Goswami told Minister Rajput that the deafness of newborn children is examined from the first day itself and speech therapy is also being done. Similarly, Dr Praveen Karen of the Eye Department said that due to eye transplantation here, people’s trust in the college has increased. We are also getting donors to donate eyes to the college. Eye transplantation of people is being done as per the need.
