Health checkup of remote villagers will be done at home through Lab on Wheels: Minister Devangan

Raipur. Lab on Wheels program was inaugurated today in Korba district by Commerce, Industry and Labor Minister Lakhan Lal Devangan on the initiative of the district administration to provide better health facilities to the villagers living in remote forest areas of the district. Addressing the program, Minister Shri Devangan said that through the innovation started in the district – Lab on Wheels, villagers of remote areas will get free facility of examination of many diseases at their homes. Due to which the villagers will not have to go to the city far away to get their diseases checked and this will also save their money and valuable time. He said that getting information about the diseases in time to the person will make treatment easier and the person can be saved from getting into a serious situation due to suffering from diseases. Under this program, the samples collected in the primary health centers will be delivered to the community health center of their development block by the Lab on Wheels riders. Where the sample will be tested and after the report is prepared, the report will be taken back to the primary health center by the riders. On this occasion, MLA Katghora Shri Premchand Patel, District Panchayat President Smt. Shivkala Kanwar, Collector Shri Ajit Vasant along with local public representatives and health department officials were present. Cabinet Minister Shri Dewangan said that as per the intention of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, many efforts are being made by Collector Korba to increase the health sector. Earlier, doctors have been arranged in health centers from DMF. Taking a step forward in this series, Lab on Wheels program is being started. Similarly, for expansion of health facilities in the district, approval has been given for repair of dilapidated health centers and construction of new buildings from DMF funds. To provide facilities to the health workers working in primary health centers in remote areas, housing will be constructed and boundary wall will also be constructed for security. Approval has also been given for repair of dilapidated ashram hostel, school building, Anganwadi and construction of building for school Anganwadi without building for improvement in education sector. In the program, Mr. Dewangan announced the immediate appointment of 2 doctors from DMF fund in Community Health Center Katghora on the demand of the people of the area. Which includes one medicine doctor and one surgeon doctor.
MLA Katghora Mr. Patel, while wishing the inauguration of the program, said that the people of the district have got a big gift from the initiative of the district administration. This will provide better health facilities to the common people. People will not have to go to the city for disease checkup, they will get the facility of health checkup in their village itself and will get the test report sitting at home.
Giving information about the program, Collector Ajit Vasant said that this program has been started under the direction of Chief Minister Mr. Sai to reduce the expenditure on the health of the common people and to provide better health facilities at low cost. This will save time and money of the villagers. This facility has been started from DMF in coordination with the district administration and health department. Initially, this facility has been implemented in three remote development blocks of the district, Katghora, Pali and Podi Uparda. The health department has prepared a route chart to provide this facility to the people of remote forest areas. Samples will be collected from PHC and deposited in CHC as per the route prescribed by the riders. District Panchayat President Smt. Shivkala Kanwar and other public representatives also addressed the program and congratulated the district administration for this initiative.
