“He Could Even Trouble Don Bradman,” Says Australia’s World Champion About Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah is considered one of the greatest bowlers in the game today. In the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he showcased his incredible bowling skills and took the most wickets in the series. Australia recently defeated India in a five-match Test series, leaving Team India struggling against their opponents. However, Bumrah stood out with his performance, which caught the attention of former Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist. Having won the ODI World Cup in 1999, 2003, and 2007, Gilchrist stated that Bumrah has such talent that if he were bowling to the legendary Sir Don Bradman, Bumrah would have been able to trouble him too. Bumrah claimed an impressive 32 wickets during this series and was named Player of the Series.
Speaking on the Club Pirate Fire Podcast, Gilchrist mentioned, “I’m not trying to rate him. What he brings to world cricket is beyond just numbers. He could easily get Bradman out with just a few balls. In this series, Bumrah also captained the Indian team in both the first and last Test matches. Rohit Sharma missed the first Test in Perth due to the birth of his son, so Bumrah took over the captaincy. Under his leadership, India secured a victory.
