Haridwar News: Fraudster Impersonates Jay Shah’s PA, Police Recover Fake BCCI ID

Haridwar: A case of an attempted high-profile fraud has come to light in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The accused pretended to be the fake personal assistant of Home Minister Amit Shah’s son, Jay Shah. He has been identified as a resident of Firozpur, Punjab. After questioning, the accused was presented in court, where the judge ordered him to be sent to jail. Just a few days ago, an attempt was made to scam crores of rupees by calling three Uttarakhand MLAs—Ranipur MLA Adesh Chauhan, Rudrapur MLA Shiv Arora, and Nainital MLA Sarita Arya—under the pretense of offering them a cabinet minister position in Jay Shah’s name. In connection with that case, Haridwar police arrested one suspect, and Udham Singh Nagar police nabbed two more, exposing the fraud racket. Now, another shocking incident has surfaced.

A man, posing as Jay Shah’s fake PA, was pressuring officers to do various tasks. The accused has been identified as Amarinder, a resident of Punjab. Reports indicate that Amarinder had been staying at a hotel in the Pawan Dham area of Haridwar for the past three days. During this time, he introduced himself as the PA of Home Minister Amit Shah’s son, Jay Shah, who is also the ICC chairman. He made calls to senior officers in Haridwar, attempting to pressure them into getting certain tasks done. As soon as the police grew suspicious, they raided the hotel and arrested him. A case has now been registered against the accused. The police also recovered a fake BCCI ID card from Amarinder, which had photos of both ICC Chairman Jay Shah and the accused himself. The Punjab Police is now investigating his criminal background. Authorities are taking this case very seriously, trying to determine how many instances he used his fake identity to gain influence. His past criminal activities are also being thoroughly examined.
