Half the population should play a full role in the economic and social development of the state: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that our government is always with mothers, sisters and daughters in their interest. The government will leave no stone unturned for them. Our government will ensure that the sisters get their every right. Many important decisions have been taken to increase the role of half the population in the economic and social development of the state. To increase the representation of women in the country’s politics, the benefit of 33 percent reservation for women will be available in the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha in the coming years. The Madhya Pradesh government has already implemented 50 percent reservation for women in the local body elections.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing a public meeting at Tikarwara village of Mandla district on Wednesday. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav transferred honorarium and assistance amount of more than 2500 crores through a single click to the beneficiaries of other schemes including Ladli Bahan of the state in the state level program organized here. He also congratulated Ms. Shuchi Upadhyay from the stage for being selected in the Indian women’s cricket team. In the program, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also distributed benefits of various schemes and appointment letters to the youth.

Mandla got the gift of development works worth 232 crores

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav transferred Rs 1552.38 crore to 1.27 crore sisters of the state, Rs 340 crore to 56.68 lakh social security pension beneficiaries, Rs 57 crore for cylinder refilling at Rs 450 to 25 lakh sisters eligible under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Gas Scheme. So far, the government has provided honorarium of more than Rs 36 thousand 500 crore to Ladli sisters.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of 66 development works costing Rs 232 crore to speed up the development of Mandla. On the demand of Public Health Engineering Minister Mrs. Sampatiya Uikey, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced to build a new bridge on Surkhi-Indri road in Mandla district at a cost of Rs 16 crore 61 lakh and to inaugurate another newly constructed bridge on Banjar river and name it Amar Shaheed Shankar Shah Raghunath Shah Setu. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the government will leave no stone unturned in the development of Mandla.

 Blessed 1100 newly married couples who tied the knot

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav showered flowers on more than 1100 newly married couples who tied the knot in a mass marriage ceremony under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah/Nikah Scheme and blessed them. He said that today an amount of Rs. 49,000 each has been provided to the newly married couples. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that marriage is the biggest among the 16 rituals. The newly married couple moves forward with new resolutions to build a world of dreams. He said that one should save a part of the earnings in life so that the future of their children along with their own can be secured in the future. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav suggested people to avoid undue expenditure on marriage ceremonies and said that by participating in the mass marriage of Kanya Vivah/Nikah Scheme, anyone can get married with pomp and show at a low cost. He advised the economically weaker sections and farmers not to take loans for tika, dowry and death feast in marriages. The Chief Minister said that such evils hinder the development of society. Instead, all tribal brothers should educate their children and make them capable to move ahead in their lives. He said that only a cultured child can contribute in building a strong society. Making your children capable is nation building, is true national service.

Determined to make our Ladli sisters self-reliant and empowered

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that our government is committed to make Ladli sisters self-reliant and empowered. Rakshabandhan is being celebrated by sending money to the accounts of sisters every month to provide security, respect, self-respect and prosperity to women. If sisters get some money in their hands, they manage the entire house properly. Today sisters are getting the benefit of schemes like Ujjwala Yojana, Pucca House. The state government is working for the welfare of all sections of the poor, women, youth and farmers, worrying about the happiness and sorrows of the citizens. Solar pumps will be distributed to make farmers self-reliant, which will benefit farmers with 5 to 10 horse power pumps in the state. Also, the electricity department will buy surplus electricity from farmers. He said that under the guidance of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, a new scheme has been started to increase the income of farmers and cattle rearers through cooperation, there is a provision of 25 percent subsidy on rearing 25 cows and buffaloes. The state government has also increased the subsidy amount for government cow shelters from Rs 20 to Rs 40. Our government is working towards building Gokul in every house.

A Vrindavan village will be built in every block

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while paying obeisance to Maa Narmada and Rani Durgavati, said that Maa Narmada has given life to people from Mahakoshal to Malwa and Gujarat. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Central Government has provided an amount of 1 lakh crore for irrigation system in Bundelkhand. The land of Bundelkhand is the land of heroes. In the past, people had started migrating here due to lack of water. With the support of the Central Government, many districts of Madhya Pradesh will get the benefit of Ken-Betwa, Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal river linking projects. He said that we should learn from the structures built by Maharani Durgavati for water conservation. He said that our government has decided to develop one village in every block of the state as Vrindavan village.

Public Health Engineering Minister Smt. Sampatiya Uikey said that this is a memorable day for her, because she was once the Sarpanch of Tikarwara village and today she is a Minister in the Government.

Mandla MP Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the area under irrigation has increased in the entire state, the benefits of which have not left Mandla and Dindori untouched. He congratulated the state government for giving a special package for development works in the tribal areas of Mandla.

MLA Shri Narayan Patta, MLA Shri Chainsingh Varkade, Municipal President Mandla Smt. Krishna Panjwani, Shri Prafull Shrivastava along with a large number of beneficiaries and regional rural and tribal brothers from far-flung areas were present in the program.
