Guna district’s fields will be irrigated by Kumbhraj major irrigation project along with PKC: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Madhya Pradesh is the home of rivers. We do not have any glaciers here, but dense forests and water resources are available. To ensure that no village or field in the state is deprived of water, our government has started work on three major river linking projects in the state. Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal river linking project is one of them. Guna district will get great benefit from PKC as well as Kumbhraj major irrigation project, this will provide water to every village and farm here. This project will change the picture of Guna district. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the gratitude meeting organized by the people of the district for the PKC river link project in Binaganj of Chachaura assembly constituency of Guna district on Friday. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the approval of Kumbhraj major irrigation project costing about Rs 5138 crore. With this project, perennial irrigation facility has become available to more than 97500 hectares of agricultural land of Guna district. In the program, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of 604 development works of various categories at a total cost of Rs 175.76 crore for the overall development of Guna district.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced to give Rs 4 lakh for the liver transplant of the daughter of Mr. Rajesh Khandelwal of village Binaganj from the stage. One lakh rupees have already been given by the government for the treatment of the daughter. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced to provide financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh to Mrs. Mamta Vishwakarma. The Chief Minister announced to give Rs 12 lakh for the complete development of the cowshed in Binaganj. The Chief Minister also visited the exhibition at the venue. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav formally inaugurated the program by performing Kanya Pujan and lighting the lamp. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was welcomed by presenting a statue of Lord Ganesh made of cow dung. The regional sisters presented two big Rakhis to the Chief Minister on the month of Shravan. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also distributed benefits to the identified beneficiaries of Ladli Laxmi Yojana, State Rural Livelihood Mission and other government schemes from the stage. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also released a guidebook focusing on the sightseeing places of Chachaura.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that till 2003, there was an opposition party government in the state and during that period, farmers did not get enough water for irrigation. The then government made the farmers yearn for every drop of water. He said that the area of irrigation in the state has reached 55 lakh hectares. The roses and coriander of Guna have the fragrance of hard work of the farmers here. Guna district is the gateway to Malwa and Chambal. He said that once upon a time the bandit crisis was at its peak in Chambal. When our government was formed, the bandits were wiped out. If the bandit problem had been solved 50 years ago, this region would have developed immensely. Parvati, Kalisindh and Chambal River Project are the blessings of Baba Mahakal. He said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, work on river linking project is going on in Madhya Pradesh. Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal river linking project will benefit 13 districts of Chambal and Malwa and 13 districts of Rajasthan will also benefit from it. Opposition party governments opposed the PKC project and kept it stalled for many years. The problem was solved under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi. Now every tehsil, every village and farm of Guna district will get the benefit of irrigation water and drinking water from Kumbhraj major irrigation project, a subsidiary of PKC.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Modi, 4 crore poor people have got permanent houses. Prime Minister Shri Modi does not have his own house, but he is getting houses built for crores of people. Apart from Ayushman Bharat, the poor and needy are getting the benefit of free ration scheme. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the month of Sawan is going on, sisters will get a shagun of 250 rupees. 1500 rupees will be sent every month to the Ladli sisters of the state from Diwali this year. If the Ladli sisters work in a factory, they will be given a salary of 14 thousand rupees as an incentive. The government will also give an incentive amount of 5000 rupees to the youth for working in a factory for employment. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, we are giving a total of 12 thousand rupees to the eligible farmers in collaboration with the Central Government, in which 6 thousand rupees are being given by the Center and 6 thousand by the State Government. Solar powered irrigation pumps are being distributed in the state to free the farmers from electricity bills. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is connecting the state with the flow of development while preserving the heritage in every possible way. The sequence of development is continuously going on in the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the seriously injured and poor needy are getting the benefit of air ambulance in the state. Through the Rahveer scheme, an incentive amount of Rs 25 thousand will be given to the Rahveer who helps the injured people in road accidents and helps in taking them to the hospital. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that our government has started giving grants to cowherds to promote milk production. The grant per cow for cowsheds has been increased from Rs 20 to Rs 40. We will develop all the places associated with Lord Krishna as Dham.

Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat said that the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) river link project is an unimaginable task. Its cost is Rs 72 thousand crore. 13 districts of Chambal and Malwa region will be benefited by the project. 6 lakh hectares of agricultural land will be irrigated. He said that 40 lakh population will benefit from this project. The area of irrigation in the state was once 7 lakh hectares, which has now increased to 55 lakh hectares. He told that Ken-Betwa Link River Link Project is a project of 44 thousand 605 crores and one lakh 11 thousand hectares of land will be irrigated by this. 103 megawatt electricity will be generated from this project and about 44 lakh people will get pure drinking water. The third big river project Tapi Mega Recharge Project is worth 19 thousand crores. Two districts of the state Khandwa and Burhanpur will be benefited by this. This is the world’s first ground water recharge project. Minister in charge of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection and Guna district, Shri Govind Singh Rajput also addressed the program. He said that he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Chachoura MLA Mrs. Priyanka Meena said that ERCP-PKC project is the biggest project of the country. Which is now being realized on the land of Madhya Pradesh. 4 districts will benefit from Kumbhraj major irrigation project and this will provide sufficient water to farmers for irrigation and industries. Rajgarh-Biaora Lok Sabha MP Shri Rodmal Nagar, MLA Shri Pannalal Shakya, District Panchayat President Shri Arvind Dhakad, District President Shri Dharmendra Sikarwar, Shri Rahul Kothari along with local public representatives and a large number of regional farmers and villagers were present in the program.
