Governor Ramen Deka provided food baskets for TB patients

Raipur15 December 2024: During his stay in Dhamtari, Governor Shri Ramen Deka provided protein-rich food baskets to 3 TB patients through 3 Nikshay Mitras under the National Tuberculosis Eradication Program of the Health and Family Welfare Department’s Tuberculosis Free India Campaign Scheme. During this, Governor Shri Deka advised the patients that they should not be afraid of TB, this disease is completely cured by regular intake of medicines and proper diet. The Governor himself will become a Nikshay Mitra and help 10 TB patients of the district.

The food basket given to TB patients costs Rs. 500, which contains nutritious food items, which give strength to the patients and they are able to recover quickly. Nikshay Mitra can be made for 6 months or more. Governor Shri Deka directed to also involve Red Cross in the activities of Prime Minister’s TB Free India Campaign.
