Bhopal. Governor Mangubhai Patel on Thursday launched Swachhata Sathi “Wash on Wheels Service” in Chhindi. This innovation is the first such program not only in the district but also in the state which will ensure regular and effective cleaning of institutional toilets. During this, the Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Chhindi welcomed Governor Shri Patel by wearing a crown made of Chhind.
Features of Swachhata Sathi Wash on Wheels Service
Lack of cleanliness is often seen in most institutional toilets, which affects the utility and condition of the toilets. To overcome this deficiency, the district administration has taken this unique initiative. It has been implemented under the guidance of Collector Shri Sheelendra Singh and the leadership of CEO of District Panchayat Shri Agrim Kumar.
Operation of the service
1 cluster has been formed from 3 Gram Panchayats in each of the 11 districts of the district. These teams have been provided with state-of-the-art equipment and safety kits, which include electric and battery operated washing machines.
Cleaning Process
This service will go to schools, Anganwadis, hostels and community toilets and clean the toilets.
Economic Benefits
This scheme will provide employment to sanitation workers as well as a monthly income of around Rs 20,000.
