Government committed for the overall welfare of workers: Labor Minister Patel

Bhopal. Labor, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Singh Patel has given information about the achievements of the Labor Department. He informed that Madhya Pradesh Labor Welfare Board has decided to develop 05 Adarsh ​​Shram Kendras in Ujjain, Pithampur, Bhopal, Jabalpur and Satna in the state. Trades Civil Engineering Assistant, Technician Mechatronics, Advanced CNC Machining Technician operated in Shramodaya Adarsh ​​ITI-Mugalia Chhap are operated only in Shramodaya ITI in the state, this is a special achievement.

Minister Shri Patel said that the benefit of the “Antim Sanskar Sahayata Yojana” of the Labor Board was available only to the laborer, which has been expanded and the wife, son-daughter and parents of the eligible worker’s family have also been included in the said scheme. Along with this, the benefit of the Board’s “Anugraha Sahayata Yojna” (Chairman’s discretionary quota) was earlier available only to the workers, which has been expanded to include the wife, son-daughter and parents of the eligible worker’s family in the said scheme. It has been decided to provide electric vehicles to eligible handicapped workers, this year electric vehicles will be provided to 50 workers.

Minister Shri Patel informed that it has been decided to increase the prevailing contribution rates of the Board after 11 years, in which the employer’s contribution has been increased from Rs. 30 to Rs. 50 per six months and the minimum contribution of the employer has been increased from Rs. 1500 to Rs. 2500 per six months. At present, divisional workers’ sports competitions are being organized by the Board, in which the Indore competition has been completed on 08 October and the competition is being held in Ujjain on 18 October. Competitions will also be organized in the remaining divisions on the scheduled date.

Minister Shri Patel said that to avail the benefits of the Board’s schemes, online applications have to be made through Public Service Centers. Now, along with the Public Service Center, workers will also be able to fill their applications online at the 27 Labor Welfare Centers run by the Board. The Board is receiving 95% of the contributions online. The Board is also receiving online contribution payments through the portal. He informed that a provision for settlement has been made to relieve the employers from prosecution proceedings, due to which the employers have got relief from the prosecution process. It has been ensured that the benefits are paid to the beneficiaries in their Aadhaar base, bank account only.

Giving information about the achievements of Madhya Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Minister Shri Patel said that Madhya Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board has started School Scholarship Scheme 2024 for the children of registered building and other construction workers, under which students from class 01 to 12th will be provided the benefit of scholarship up to Rs 2300 per year. He said that Grant Scheme 2024 has been started for e-scooter, under which a grant amount of up to Rs 40,000 will be provided on purchase of electric scooter by a registered construction worker. “Divyang Sahayata Anudan Yojana” 2024 has been started, under which a grant amount of up to Rs 35,000 will be provided on purchase of equipment for Divyangjan by a registered construction worker. Minister Shri Patel informed that Grant Scheme for Rural Housing for Workers 2024 has been started, under which such registered construction workers who will be allotted housing under “Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana” (Rural), will be provided the benefit of a grant amount of Rs 50,000 by the Board. “Grant Scheme for Purchase of Tools/Equipment” 2024 has been started, under which the benefit of a grant amount of up to Rs 10,000 will be provided by the Board on purchase of tools/equipment by such registered construction worker.

Madhya Pradesh Bhawan and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board is constructing 100-bed Shramik Rest Houses through PIU in all 16 municipal corporations of the state. The cost of the rest house per worker will be Rs 6.10 crore. There will be provision for free stay and food at concessional rates. They will be operated by a committee under the chairmanship of the District Collector. 05 new Shramodaya residential schools will be started in Sagar, Rewa, Ujjain, Shahdol and Balaghat in the state. The total construction cost of these 05 new Shramodaya schools will be Rs 310 crore and the total operating expenditure per year will be Rs 50 crore. Social audit of the beneficiaries benefited under Anugrah Sahayata Yojana and Ayushman Bharat Yojana in the financial year 2022-23 and 2023-24 is being done. The process of Aadhaar based payment has been started in all the schemes of the Board, in which the beneficiary receives the amount in his Aadhaar linked bank account through DBT.
