Good governance is achieved only by paying attention to public facilities, prompt solution of problems and quality service: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai

Chief Minister reviewed Kondagaon, Bastar and Sukma districts

Raipur, 30 May 2025: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that the objective of Sushasan Tihar is to evaluate the ground reality of the work done by the government in the last one and a half years and to get feedback by communicating with the public. The goal of the state government is public service and for this every officer-employee needs to work with alertness and sensitivity. Good governance is only with the attention of public facilities, prompt resolution of problems and quality service. Chief Minister Sai said these things during the review meeting held in the meeting hall of Kondagaon Collector’s Office. Emphasizing on forest produce based employment in Bastar region, the Chief Minister said that value addition should be done by making a special strategy on products like tamarind and silk cocoon, so that local people get more and more employment opportunities. He stressed the need to promote products like silk, beekeeping, lac production. Gave instructions to encourage business activities through promotion and marketing of locally manufactured goods.

In view of the large number of applications received from the general public under the Ujjwala scheme, the Chief Minister directed the officials to increase the refilling percentage and make special efforts to promote gas subsidy. Revenue cases, especially those related to demarcation, were asked to be resolved before June 15. The Chief Minister said that maize is the main crop in Bastar division, its productivity should be increased by linking it with advanced technology. He said that the collector should take personal interest in promoting organic aromatic paddy cultivation and also make special efforts for certification, marketing and branding.

Principal Secretary Subodh Singh directed to quickly correct error correction works, especially name spelling errors. In view of the large number of unstarted houses in Kondagaon district under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, instructions were given to quickly resolve them and to train local youth in view of the shortage of masons. The Chief Minister praised the mason training given to surrendered Maoists in Bijapur and suggested that other districts should also adopt it. He said that while reviewing the construction of national highways, instructions were given that forest clearance, retender process, compensation cases should be resolved soon, so that construction work can be expedited. Bastar MP Mahesh Kashyap, Keshkal MLA Neelkanth Tekam, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Subodh Singh, Chief Minister’s Secretary Dr. Basavaraju S., Commissioner Doman Singh, IG Sundarraj P., Collectors of all three districts, Superintendents of Police, CEO District Panchayat, Divisional Forest Officer and other officials were present in the meeting.
