Free summer camp organized during summer holidays

Innovative effort by School Education Department to give children the opportunity to learn in creative activities

Raipur. Taking innovation, the School Education Department will organize a summer camp for the students during summer vacations with public cooperation. This camp will be organized from 7.00 am to 9.30 am. It will be completely voluntary.

In the instructions issued by School Education Department Secretary Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi today to the collectors of all the districts, it has been said that summer vacation in schools is effective till June 15. During this period, students can develop versatile skills by engaging them in creative activities. The guidance of students’ parents and their teachers can be helpful in creative activities. Therefore, summer camps should be organized for students in schools or community buildings of villages and cities. Experts in the creative field can be invited to this camp and guidance training can be provided from them. In this, cooperation of parents and school development committees can also be taken. Shri Pardeshi directed that activities like painting, singing, playing, essay, story-writing, hand-writing, dance, sports, historical introduction of one’s village and city etc. can be organized in the summer camp. Apart from these activities, other creative activities can also be selected. It has been clarified by the School Education Department that no budget will be given for this. Districts will make this program a success by using their available resources. Pardeshi said that summer vacation should be used as an opportunity for children to learn.
