Following a letter from the Raipur Police Headquarters addressing this issue, the authorities swiftly acted to protect citizens’ privacy. Now, personal information such as mobile numbers and addresses are kept confidential on the portal, shielding complainants from potential harm.

The modus operandi of these cyber fraudsters involved posing as senior police officials, coercing complainants into believing that their complaints had been mishandled and that they were under investigation. They would then attempt to extort money from them under the guise of resolving the issue or apprehending the alleged perpetrators.
