Former MLA of Raipur North Kuldeep Singh Juneja paid tribute to former Mayor Balveer Singh Juneja on his death anniversary

Raipur. Today, former MLA of Raipur North Assembly constituency Kuldeep Singh Juneja, Chairman of Municipal Corporation Culture Department Mr. Akash Tiwari, MIC member Mr. Kumar Menon and other dignitaries of the city paid tribute to former Mayor of Raipur Municipal Corporation Balveer Singh Juneja on his death anniversary by attending the Pushpanjali event organized in front of his statue located in the Sports Complex premises in front of Balveer Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium under the aegis of Municipal Corporation Culture Department with the cooperation of Municipal Corporation Zone No. 4. It is known that Balveer Singh Juneja was the Mayor of Raipur Municipal Corporation from 1994 to 1999 and during his tenure as Mayor, he took the initiative for the construction of Indoor Stadium in Raipur city and got the Bhoomi Pujan done by the hands of former Union Minister Shaheed Pandit Vidyacharan Shukla. After the completion of the construction of the indoor stadium in front of Swami Vivekanand Sarovar, Budhatalaab in the capital city by the Raipur Municipal Corporation, on the occasion of its inauguration, as per the announcement made from the stage by the then Chief Minister of the state and Speaker of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, Dr. Raman Singh, the indoor stadium was named Balveer Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium to perpetuate the sacred memories of former Mayor of Raipur Municipal Corporation Balveer Singh Juneja and his statue was installed in front of the indoor stadium. Under the aegis of the Culture Department of Raipur Municipal Corporation, a Pushpanjali event is organized every year in front of his statue to pay respectful homage to former Mayor Balveer Singh Juneja on his birth anniversary and death anniversary.
