Flights canceled at Lebanon's Beirut airport, know the reason
Flights were canceled at Lebanon’s Beirut airport in view of the possibility of war between Israel and Hezbollah. Lufthansa said on Monday that as a precaution, flights to and from Beirut of Swiss International Airlines, Eurowings and Lufthansa have been suspended till July 30.
Earlier today, an Israeli drone attacked the city of Shakra in southern Lebanon, killing two people. Three were also injured in this attack. The rescue service did not clarify whether the dead were fighters or civilians. This was the first deadly Israeli attack on Lebanon after Hezbollah’s attack on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights on Saturday. However, Hezbollah refused to take responsibility for the attack on Israel on Saturday.
Let us tell you that Beirut Rafic Hariri Airport is the only airport in Lebanon. This airport was targeted during the civil war. Not only this, this airport was also targeted during the war with Israel in 2006. In view of the possibility of war between Israel and Hezbollah, the Indian Embassy in Beirut has warned its citizens living in Lebanon and those visiting Lebanon to remain alert. Citizens have been asked to stay in touch with the embassy.
