Raipur, 30 July 2025: Chhattisgarh has got a big gift towards promoting agricultural and processed food product exports. As a result of the efforts of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and the active initiative of the Department of Industries, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India has approved the opening of the regional office of APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority) in Raipur. With the opening of this regional office, many benefits will be available to the farmers, producers and exporters of Chhattisgarh at one place. Now they will not have to turn to the offices of other states for training, certification, packaging, standardization and export related services. Global quality facility will be available at local level With the establishment of APEDA office in the state, now the processes related to phyto-sanitary certificate, quality certification, lab testing, and export can be completed here. This will not only save time but will also reduce the cost of farmers and exporters.

Chhattisgarh’s products will get branding and global recognition It will be easy to export fruits, vegetables, rice, GI tagged products, millets and other agricultural products directly to the international market from the APEDA office. This will provide fair prices to the products, new markets to the traders, and recognition to the state on the global platform.
