Farmer Harkchand Say is cultivating turmeric

There is always a demand for turmeric in the market

Jashpurnagar 13 January 2025: In the government led by Chief Minister Vishnudev Say, farmers of remote areas of the district are being benefited by various schemes of the Horticulture Department to take other crops along with paddy. Under which the department has taken an innovative initiative to benefit the farmers by expanding the fruit area. Under the National Horticulture Mission Scheme, farmers are being encouraged to produce turmeric by the Horticulture Department. Inspired by the scheme, farmer Harkchand Say of village Rajauti of Kansabel development block produced turmeric in 0.500 hectares with proper guidance from the Horticulture Department. Shri Harkchand Say took the departmental benefit of turmeric area expansion in the year 2023-24 under the National Horticulture Mission Scheme. Farmer Harkchand Say says that turmeric production work was done well as per the proper guidance given by the Horticulture Department. By taking technical advice from time to time, we are taking abundant production of turmeric.
The farmer told that he sells the produced turmeric in the markets near his house.
This year, due to good demand of turmeric, he got more profit.
The financial condition of the family has become better now. He took technical advice from the Horticulture Department and talked about producing more.
