Farmers are getting rich from fish farming, profit of Rs 7 lakh

Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai is also motivating farmers to take up fish farming, poultry farming and other crops along with paddy to make them economically prosperous. Various welfare schemes are being run by the Chhattisgarh government with the aim of doubling the income of farmers of remote areas. Agriculture has an important contribution in the country’s economy. The hard work of farmer brothers leads to good crops and people use grains, pulses, vegetables and other things in a better way.

Chief Minister Shri Sai is currently promoting Bharat Matsya Palan to promote farmers doing fish farming i.e. aquaculture.

In this episode, Janak Ram Yadav of Bhitghara village of Bagicha development block of Jashpur district has been doing fish farming for 01 year. In the year 2023-24, under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana, he is doing fish farming by constructing a pond on 0.5 hectares in his own land. As per the plan, a grant of Rs 1 lakh 40 thousand was received from the department for the constructed water area. Till now the beneficiary is doing fish farming, from which a net profit of Rs 7 lakh has been obtained.
