On the occasion of Ram Navami, which falls on April 17th, there is expected to be a large gathering of devotees at the Ram Temple located on VIP Road in Raipur city. Due to this, the traffic police have prepared roadmaps for commuters traveling towards VIP Road and the airport.
In Raipur, the capital city, VIP Road is likely to witness a huge crowd of devotees visiting the Ram Temple for Ram Navami. Due to processions and the grandeur of the occasion, several roads including Jeevan Bima Marg, Malviya Road, Sadar Bazaar, Ramsagar Para MG Road, and Purani Basti Road will be affected. Traffic police have issued roadmaps for commuters to navigate through these routes.
It’s important to note that on April 17th, Ram Navami is expected to draw a massive crowd of devotees to the Ram Temple on VIP Road in Raipur. Considering this, traffic police have prepared roadmaps for commuters heading towards VIP Road and the airport.
For vehicles heading to the airport, the suggested route is: Telibandha Police Station T-junction – Shri Ram Temple T-junction – Agrasen Dham – Jora – Sari Kheri – New Raipur or Telibandha Expressway – Fundahar Chowk – Mana PTS Chowk.
Similarly, during Ram Navami, there will be processions from various parts of the city starting in the morning. Primarily, areas like Purani Basti and Amapara Marg are expected to be affected. Commuters traveling from Purani Basti, Amapara, and Tatya Para are advised to use alternative routes.
From 9 PM onwards on the occasion of Ram Navami, a grand procession will commence from Navin Bazaar, passing through Sharada Chowk, Jay Stambh Chowk, Malviya Road, Sadar Bazaar, Azad Chowk, Mominpara, Lalita Chowk, Badhai Para, Ramsagar Para, Rathor Chowk, MG Road, and back to Sharada Chowk. Commuters using this route after 8 PM are encouraged to consider alternative routes.
In essence, during Ram Navami, there will be heavy footfall and processions in Raipur, especially around the Ram Temple on VIP Road. Traffic police have devised plans to ensure smooth flow of traffic and have provided alternative routes for commuters to ease their journey.
