Entrepreneurship should expand equally in all regions of the state: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that through micro, small and medium industries, employment or self-employment opportunities can be provided to at least one person in every family. Activities should be expanded according to the situation and available skills of each district. Entrepreneurship should be expanded equally in the entire state by connecting the youth with micro industries like oil mill, masala-flour mill, kodo-kutki and other millet processing unit. Food processing units can play an important role in this. Agricultural produce markets are also being given a modern look. In this, facilities for safekeeping of milk, vegetables etc. will also be provided, it will start from Ratlam. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gave these instructions in the review meeting of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department. Departmental Minister Shri Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap, Principal Secretary Shri Raghavendra Singh, Principal Secretary Finance Shri Manish Rastogi and other officials were present in the meeting held at Samatva Bhavan (Chief Minister’s residence).
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the role of micro, small and medium industries is important in realizing the concept of developed India-developed Madhya Pradesh. It is especially necessary to encourage entrepreneurship at the micro level. Madhya Pradesh is currently at the 7th position in the country in this field, by next year we have to make the state one of the best states in the country. Activities should be conducted by setting time limits to achieve this goal through proper financial arrangements and infrastructure for MSMEs, self-employment schemes and strengthening the start-up eco-system through better marketing, export and e-commerce platforms.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the year 2025 is being celebrated as the year of industry and employment. Industry-employment day should be organized in different regions of the state at an interval of two months. It is necessary to provide continuity to other traditional production activities including powerloom. For this, camps should be organized at the regional level for skill upgradation and improvement in technical efficiency with the help of experts. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is important to encourage new entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs who successfully run activities with their initiative and innovation should be presented as examples. This will inspire others as well.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated Madhya Pradesh Small Industries Corporation on being awarded the gold medal at the India International Trade Fair held in New Delhi. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Vikramotsav held in Ujjain has encouraged trade and business at the regional level. The areas of the state where trade fairs can be organized should be studied and activities should be conducted by making an integrated plan for trade fairs.
It was informed in the meeting that 17 lakh 55 thousand registered MSME units are operating in the state with an investment of Rs 55 thousand crore. This is providing employment to more than 92 lakh people. There are 5 thousand 300 start-ups operating in the state, out of which more than 2500 are being run by women. The pending grants of MSME units till March 2025 have been resolved with the amount of Rs 1475 crore received through supplementary budget. Trade worth Rs 3 thousand 327 crore was done in Gwalior Trade Fair-2025. Information is being given through the departmental website to make investors aware of the land bank, more than 1100 plots will be available for allotment from May 1. District-wise workshops are also being organized to make investors aware of the policies of the government. The achievement of the department in the Chief Minister Udyam Kranti Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Srijan Program has been more than the target. On the occasion of MSME Day, a grand program will be organized in Indore on June 27 focusing on micro, small and medium enterprises. Similarly, there is a plan to organize a program focused on start-ups in Bhopal in the month of September.
