Entertainment News: Vaibhav Gupta of Kanpur crowned 'Indian Idol 14'
The grand finale of the popular TV show ‘Indian Idol 14’ took place on Sunday night. In this, the winner’s crown is placed on the head of Vaibhav Gupta of Kanpur. Vaibhav Gupta of Kanpur has received the shining trophy of Indian Idol 14. With this, he has been given a check of Rs 25 lakh and a ‘hot and techy’ Brezza car as a prize. Vaibhav was also among the top five contestants along with Aadya Mishra, Ananya Pal, Piyush Panwar, Subhadeep Das, Anjana Padmanabhan and emerged as the winner of the show.
He became the runner up
Shubhdeep and Piyush were declared first and second runners-up in the show. He has been given a check of Rs 5 lakh along with the trophy. Whereas, Ananya was the third runner-up of this show. Apart from the trophy, he got a prize of Rs 3 lakh.
Sonu Nigam becomes special judge
Sonu Nigam was the special judge of this grand finale. Apart from him, Neha Kakkar, who will be seen as ‘Super Judge’ in the upcoming season of the reality show ‘Superstar Singer’, also participated in the finale episode. For the ‘Pyarelal Symphony’ challenge, Vaibhav sang ‘Jumma Chumma’ from the 1991 action crime drama ‘Hum’, which starred Amitabh Bachchan, Rajnikanth, Govinda, Kimi Katkar and Anupam Kher. For the finale, Vaibhav sang the last song ‘Joru Ka Ghulam’ with Sonu Nigam.
