England’s legendary all-rounder Andrew Flintoff gets important responsibility

Former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff has been appointed as the new head coach of the England Lions team. Flintoff’s tenure will start from next month. Under his supervision, the Lions team will tour South Africa before Christmas. After this, the team has to tour Australia in January, which is being seen as a preparation for the 2025-26 Ashes series. In this way, England has entrusted Flintoff with the task of finding and grooming young players.

Flintoff will have many responsibilities

Lions will also host India A and Zimbabwe in the summer next year. Flintoff, who has played 79 Tests for England, is involved in the performance planning of the players, player development review with the county, team selection as well as player evaluation. Along with this, he will also be responsible for The Hundred’s Northern Superchargers team.
