Raipur. The Municipal Corporation is continuously taking action as per rules against illegal constructions taking place in the city, illegally operated shops and carts, kiosks and unauthorized encroachments that obstruct traffic on the roads. Instructions have been issued to the municipal investment staff of all zones to ensure that incidents of unauthorized encroachment do not recur.
Under Zone 1, lime marking was done by running a campaign in Yatiatan Lal Ward, Veer Shivaji Ward and Sant Kabirdas Ward. The carts and stalls installed on the road near Reliance Petrol Pump in front of Kashi Ram School and in front of Dahi Handi Ground were removed. In Zone 2, lime marking was done on MG Road, near Railway Station, near Mekahara Hospital, near Medical Complex, Fafadih Main Road and Waltair Gate Turning Point, the board was removed due to disruption in traffic. In Zone 3, lime marking was done on both sides of the road in Shankarnagar Ward and Mahatma Gandhi Ward. In Zone 4, Maulana Abdul Rauf Ward and Swami Vivekananda Sadar Bazar Ward, encroachments and carts installed on drains and roadsides were removed and lime marking was done. In Zone 5, lime marking was done on both sides of the road in the area of Thakur Pyarelal Singh Ward, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Ward, Pandit Sunderlal Sharma Ward, Mahant Lakshminarayan Das Ward. In Zone 6, a campaign was conducted in Nandi Chowk, Hatari Bazaar, Bhathagaon Bazaar, Pani Tanki, Tarun Bazaar, Santoshi Nagar, Naraiya Talab footpath and lime marking was done and the materials placed on the roadside were confiscated and warnings were also given. In Zone 7, a campaign was conducted in Shaheed Chudamani Nayak Ward, Shaheed Manmohan Singh Bakshi Ward, Sant Ramdas Ward, 18 carts were placed on the roadside, seized and lime marking was done. Lime marking was done in about 350 meter area in Mahadev Ghat main road Raipura in Maghav Rao Sapre ward in Zone 8. Kushabhau Thackeray Ward, Dr. in Zone 9. Lime marking was done in Daldal Seoni Bazaar and Dubey Colony Mova in Bhimrao Ambedkar Ward and Dr. in Zone 10. By running a campaign in Rajendra Prasad Ward, Babu Jagjivan Ram Ward, Rani Durgavati Ward, encroachments, carts, stalls, banners and posters were removed.
