Emphasis on setting up new industrial areas in the state: Industry Minister Devangan

Raipur/ Commerce and Industry Minister Lakhanlal Devangan has said in the CSIDC meeting that the new industrial policy of the state will come into effect from 01 November 2024. On the basis of the new industrial policy, there will be a big attraction to invest here, which will not only help in accelerating the development of the state, but will also strengthen the local economy. This will create a better industrial environment in the state and provide employment to the residents of the state. He said that there are great possibilities of setting up industries in Chhattisgarh, which is rich in natural mineral resources.

The 152nd meeting of the Board of Directors of Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC) was held at Udyog Bhawan under the chairmanship of Commerce and Industry Minister cum Chairman CSIDC Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan. Secretary, Commerce and Industry Shri Ankit Anand, Director Town and Village Investment Shri Saurabh Kumar, Managing Director of CSIDC Shri P. Arun Prasad, Deputy Secretary of Finance Department Mrs. Pooja Shukla Mishra were present in the meeting. Important decisions were taken in the meeting as follows.

In-principle approval was given for setting up of pharmaceutical park in 141.84 acres in Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar Sector-22 as per the announcement made by the Chief Minister, Chhattisgarh Government. Establishment of the park will promote new investment as well as local employment. In-principle approval was given for setting up of Aadarsh ​​Industrial Area on 881.60 acres of land under the possession of the corporation in villages Gatwa, Birra and Siladehi of Janjgir-Champa district. In-principle approval was given for setting up Aadarsh ​​Industrial Area on 245.29 acres and Textile Park on 111.02 acres of land under the possession of the corporation in village Bhagodih, village Muktaraja, village Sarhar and village Risda of Janjgir-Champa district. In-principle approval was given for setting up of new Aadarsh ​​Industrial Area on 421.9 acres of land in village Bijetla of district Rajnandgaon. Under the MSE-CDP scheme of the Government of India, project proposals were approved for the upgradation works of 13 industrial areas established under CSIDC in Chhattisgarh state.

All HODs and other offices of the state have started operating in Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur. In this sequence, in-principle approval was given for the construction of Udyog Bhawan on the land of CSIDC located in Nava Raipur. The above decision is a very important step towards increasing industrial investment in Chhattisgarh state, consequently increasing industrialization and attracting new investment and promoting local employment, which will prove to be a milestone in realizing the vision of developed India, developed Chhattisgarh.
